Several years ago, I quit my job as art director for a local Portland, Oregon advertising agency to start my own graphic design company. It turned out to be a good decision; my company was doing well, but something was missing. I realized what I really wanted, was to use my creative and design experience not just for financial gain, but to create something which would have a continuing, positive effect on peoples lives. And something that would also encourage personal growth, daily inspiration, healing and unlimited abundance for those who used it. I asked for inspiration and an idea came instantly (sometimes all you have to do is ask!). I shared my idea with family and friends. Some laughed and said it would never work; some shared my excitement and supported me. I am grateful for both. Nearly two years later, my dream came to fruition and Cleansing Thoughts© was born. These water-resistant daily affirmation cards simply attach to your shower wall, to be read each morning when your mind is most open and receptive to positive thoughts. They are the perfect way to begin your day in a positive way.
Sales were slow initially, but soon orders began to increase. Family and friends were recruited to help with assembly and I realized I was spending much of my free time filling orders. Now, due to an overwhelming positive response, I have created 3 new kits...with more in the works. Every day I am grateful for the opportunity to fulfill my dream. I love what I do, and I am thankful for the inspiration I continue to receive. |
